Damaging this part of the brain: the prefrontal cortex, is a potentiality for those who suffer a Traumatic Brain Injury of any severity (concussion: mild traumatic brain injury) included. After-all, the prefrontal cortex lies just behind the forehead. This region is in charge of our executive functions.

My prefrontal cortex was damaged as a result of my body being thrust about, as was the cause of damaging every other part of my brain: Diffuse Traumatic Brain Injury

I, personally, didn’t hit the dash with my head, due to the airbag & thank goodness! Had I, I’m informedly guessing, that would’ve been game over for me. Instead I damaged my prefrontal cortex as a result of my brain slamming ‘round within my skull, as is the way I damaged every part of my brain.
