I had the pleasure of meeting Kristin a few days ago, who’s a new barista at 1 of my regular cafes = work-spots. (Where I compose, edit & at times publicize these posts). Kristin complimented the stone I was wearing and asked what the stone, specifically was. I answered that although it visibly appears to be citrine, I know not of this assumption’s validity, having purchased it at a street market, when I resided in SanFrancisco. I find it beautiful & so, knowing the correct name of the stone, is of far less importance to me.

In response to my sharing, Kristin proceeded to show me her personal, plethora of stones, which she collected from the back. It was diverse & magnificent! She then gifted one of them to me!! (The image above depicts it). I associate this generosity of hers, to a stranger, with our common love of stones. Not solely, of course, a natural inclination to be generous is also paramount. I think it’s safe to assume that our mutual love of stones, though, was a catalyst. Whatever the reason, I find generosity to be a reverent human characteristic.

My love of stones was further fostered when I resided in SanFrancisco. Hence, my choice to purchase the aforementioned stone. Soon after purchasing, I complimented it with a chain. As a result of my adoration, I wanted a want to keep it close to me, often! Making it into a necklace transformed it from being an inanimate object, into a necklace. This pairing enables it to travels with me as I traverse Seattle, Bellingham & Portland (presently) as well as in the past: SanFrancisco, Montreal, Costa Rica, Fontainebleau, France and Seattle (my home) then too as well.
