Svadhishtha in Sanskrit, otherwise known as the sacral chakra, is associated with the pelvis. My seatbelt demolished my pelvis (broke in numerous places, as is stated in my previous post ((2 posts ago))), hence the necessity for me to re-learn to walk. It’s the is the second primary chakra, as is recognized by yogic spirituality. This chakra is said to be blocked by fear, especially the fear of death.
Telling anecdote from my recovery: While on life support, I clearly experienced no fear of death: I said to my mom “if it’s time to go, so it is.’’ As you may imagine, this statement, did not pacify my mom all. Her only child dying before her?!
Opening this chakra can boost creativity, manifested desire and confidence.
The saying “time heals all wounds”, although I do recognize to be a wild oversimplification, continues to be true, in my case. I believe an alteration (I’m always inclined to edit:) to this statement is needed though: time, adaptation, perseverance & positivity in combination, heal all wounds. Adaptation is a fundament necessity of being human, 1 that I’m now extremely versed in. Perviously, adaptation was a choice (an abundance of relocating ((facilitated, in large part, by my generous boyfriend Chris, at that time.)))
I know (through personal experience) that recognizing peace within personally necessitated adaptations (EX: the obvious proclivity of some strangers ((certainly not all)) to recognize my trials & help) is a golden key that continues to remind me that positivity exists all around me.
Attending the sanctuary (where we officially meditated twice a day and studied the Bhagavad Gita routinely) directly before incurring my prolific injuries, influenced me to adopt a deep state of acceptance and have no fear of death, while on life support. The sanctuary helped to deepen my devotion to Buddhism, and as zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh, says:
“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness” -Thich Nhat Hanh
I’ve been reminded (via experience) that positivity abounds externally. (You simply need to put yourself in positive environments & chose to surround yourself with positive people). Through these means, I’ve reclaimed my social ability to do so.
