I love the Kanye West song Run Away (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg5wkZ-dJXA) & relate to it now more than ever. Well, I’d relate with it more fervently if he had named the song “Return” ooo- that’s a good song name actually. Hmmm…quite useful for a writer/ singer, noted :). There’s a scene in the associated music video, in which the main characters are watching fireworks. I consider this a wonderful symbol of brightness & freedom.
Now I’m sure it’s far more strange for a bird/woman? to be in a human community, so I don’t think drawing a tie between us is very accurate. I do, however, feel strange. I feel that I’m in the wrong place. There’s not nearly enough of my friends here + California is just gorgeous. It feels like home now. Everything I know & expect to see daily is there. I awake each day now and think “OK, I must work as hard as possible (in a vast variety of ways) to go home.”
