The super moon was yesterday: Sept. 9th 2014. To me it simply looks like a gorgeous moon (of course) but a bit larger than usual. A website I found describes a super moon in the following way: The term “super moon” describes a moon that is closer to Earth than usual. That must be why, then, it appears bigger than usual! It’s just within close proximity to us. The website also says that it’s the 5th super moon of this year & super moons are becoming a more popular idea. They’re beautiful- and I can speak personally to say – they’re fun to watch & be in awe of. I suppose this blog is an excellent example of human’s infatuation with super moons.
