It’s the name of the latest chapter I read in “Brain on Fire” and also (as many of my friends know) a personal passion of mine.
At the end of this particular chapter I realized why the title of this chapter is “Buddha”. the last stanza goes: “But then I caught site of the small Buddha that Giselle kept on the bathroom counter. It smiled at me. I smiled back. Everything would be alright” It sounds like Giselle is a wonderful interior designer. And in this chapter, that translates to being a life saver- the main character found the Buddha as she was contemplating jumping out of their bathroom window.
Yikes! I’m very glad the character came across that Buddha figurine. It sounds like that literally could have made the difference between life and death.
