yes, I’m very aware that writing about a silly teeny-bop show will make this post silly and teeny bopperish too. 🙂
Given more time on my hands recently, I’d like to say I’m spending it on more mature, sophisticated things, but let’s be honest: we all need a break. And most of my life these days is spent re-learning (or I prefer to say brushing-up) on tough stuff that will ultimately lead me back to my independence. So in my humble opinion, a break is much deserved.
Watching this show recently made me very happy (and not just because of the charters’ cute clothes, that’s just expected 😉 But by learning the identity of “Gossip Girl” – a website “everyone” in this fictional high school follows, a blog that chronicles the private-ish doings of the students. The person who came forward as “gossip girl” is actually a wrier! He thought the 1 way to get into this crowd may be to write his way way in.
This tickled me, since I’ve never considered writers very cool nor have I (luckily) ever worried much about being cool. Especially not now, I mean shoot! a 27 year old girl worrying about her social status noooo thank you.:). I’d rather spend my time reading, writing, or honestly doing anything else. Yuck, even considering that makes me nauseous. So I guess I do have a big feeling about it = disgust.
Therefore, it was encouraging that a writer (we’ll disregard his taste for now) found an alternative way to pursue his goal & used writing as the foundation for achieving his desired result.
