Bottom line: both countries sell the same handful of drugs — fluticasone, azelastine, cetirizine, and the two nasal ones combined as Dymista. What differs is packaging and access. American bottles are two to three times bigger and sit on open shelves; German ones are smaller, cheaper per box, and live behind the pharmacy counter (though only Dymista needs an actual prescription). Per spray or per tablet, the US products are usually the better deal. For daily hay fever a steroid wins; for sudden flare-ups the antihistamine works faster; Dymista is both, if you can get a prescription.
